They're just ideas...that's all notions is, one big idea. And notions is my idea.

Do you need an art director who is an innovative problem solver? Someone who pushes the limits to find solutions to familiar problems? The light bulb is constantly burning over my head, generating alternative visual approaches to enhance a company’s image and philosophy.

I am a graduate of the American Academy of Art with an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies with a Major in Graphic Design. Since 1994 I have been working and living in the creative world.

In my 16 years as a creative, I have had the opportunity to create and manage various printed materials. When creating these materials I have collaborated with clients in multiple disciplines; communications, marketing, technical, risk management, advertising and association membership. Together we have determined the target audience and how to position their products and services properly. Using the data and research the aforementioned research can provide, my creative skills have built ideas for each project and determined which solution will accomplish the stated goal.

My skill set is not restricted to graphic design, art direction and print production. I have been a key member of branding task forces, which have laid the groundwork for the redesign of corporate identities. Which, in turn, have incorporated the creative process to enhance the consumer's perception of the client's products and services. I have also been a part of several electronic communication teams in the design and development of company web sites. My knowledge doesn’t end there; I have designed trade show exhibits and installed trade show philosophies. Helping clients attract valuable leads during industry trade shows. Often times, I have been the lone graphic designer, art director and production manager for the monthly trade magazine Professional Roofing the leading trade publication of the roofing industry.

Wearing many hats has become a specialty during creative career, one that has evolved and grown with pride. Whether the need be promotional and collateral materials, Point-of-Purchase display or everything in between, I have had the chance to create it. Working with the leading Macintosh software and good old pencil and paper. I have continually found solutions to the unique challenges of design in the digital age.

Creativity is more than a way to make a living...  it is a way of life.
